Budgewoi Plant Nursery has a collection of established fruit trees mostly espaliered ( trained on wire). Grown flat to create an edible fence around most of the quarter acre property.  The under plantings are mostly plants that are sold in the nursery and pollinator attractors with blueberries dotted everywhere. Our aim is to be as close to zero waste as possible. We have 2 composting bays as well as in ground bucket systems for worm castings. All roofs from greenhouse, shed and residence have large water catchment. We either dig in weeds or make weed tea as a natural fertilizer. All the garden beds, shade house and composting bays have been built using materials found on site which would of went into landfill. Our veg patch feeds the family and friends, with strawberry towers to save on space.

Story
