And at 9am Tracey Howie from Girri Girra will hold a Welcome to Country which everyone is warmly invited to attend.

All the while at the Fun Haus Factory the deck will be open to showcase a brand new collaboration with Naughty Noodle, Our Green Sanctuary and Permaculture Central Coast teaching young people how you can grow food even on a deck, a balcony, in pots and in wicking beds. (Open from 0800-1100)

Produce and Plants for Sale

If you’re looking to purchase produce and plants during the Trail, many of our garden hosts will be offering goodies for sale.

To get the full rundown, refer to your confirmation email (you have to buy a ticket first 😉 ) and download the Index of Gardens which along with produce for sale, this document is your bible for the weekend including all the addresses, opening times, tour times for each garden, and parking and accessibility info.

There really is a huge amount of info packed into this document so please take a look and do have a look at the final column, ‘produce for sale’ as our Garden Hosts are pretty incredible and you’ll find a wide array of goodies for sale! Bring along some extra cash on the day to make sure you don’t miss out!

Stop for a bite to eat

We’d love to give a big shoutout to The Chef’s Garden in Empire Bay. One of our wonderful Garden Hosts, Lorrae, is the chef and owner of this incredible cafe and this weekend they are putting on a VERY special menu.

For the last few weeks Lorrae has been consulting and planning with many of the Garden Hosts and this week she has been running around the Coast collecting the freshest, in season, garden produce direct from our gardens to create a menu especially for the Central Coast Edible Garden Trail. This food has been grown organically, with no sprays or pesticides, in backyards and community gardens all over the Coast.

Really this is a very rare opportunity to eat like this, bookings are HIGHLY recommended in this busy yet totally tranquil location. Nestled into the tropical gardens of Impact Plants nursery in Empire Bay, once you discover this little gem, you’ll return again and again!

Buy Tickets!

Not sure you really need another reminder, but if you haven’t got your tickets yet – its time! Do it now! In the next five minutes :-)) ….. if you want to. We can’t wait to see you there!
